However, this type of meal will be the most costly. You may be able to work out a discount if you use the same catering company for this event and the wedding reception. It never hurts to ask so you'll know all of your options. Many families opt for a nice restaurant, possibly reserving a party room or section of the restaurant in advance. The cost is usually less, but you may want to specify that alcohol costs would be paid by the individuals. Otherwise, your bill could end up very bloated. Some very casual families will do cookouts instead of a more traditional bridal invitations, but this can be difficult since most take place in the evening after the completion of the wedding practice itself.
Planning the Rehearsal Dinner Toasts
Because everyone is usually exhausted and anxious at the meal, there is no reason to schedule any entertainment. In fact, the entertainment is usually the responsibility of the bride and groom who typically offer a toast at the meal. Make sure you speak to the couple before the meal so they are aware of this option and will be prepared to say a few words.
